Introducing Experimental Creative Experience to the Atlanta Film Market
Overview
In June 2024, our team embarked on an ambitious project to introduce an Experimental Creative Experienceinto the thriving Atlanta film market. The goal was to create a one-of-a-kind immersive event, blending traditional filmmaking with cutting-edge technology, interactive elements, and unforgettable experiences. The event was designed to introduce our production company expertise and offerings to the Atlanta market. The event provided a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the thriving talent in our community. From filmmakers to designers, writers to producers, this event brings together the best and brightest minds in the industry.
One of the major highlights was the debut of our Panther Camera Cars, introduced through an interactive demo that allowed participants to experience their capabilities firsthand. This groundbreaking tech demonstration was part of an event that featured influencers, helicopter rides, live DJ performances, horse-drawn carriage entrances, rain showers, and more.
Objective
Our primary goal was to introduce a dynamic and interactive creative experience for filmmakers, content creators, local film professionals, brands & agencies, as well as influencers and media around Atlanta. Giving them hands-on access to our advanced tools and our unique creative methods used on films, commercials, series and creative shoots. These cars, equipped with state-of-the-art camera technology, were a game-changer for on-location filming, offering unprecedented flexibility and precision in dynamic shooting environments spanning from car commercials, creative shoots to music videos.
By integrating these tools into an event with experiential experience elements like a VIP influencer space, helicopter rides, onsite food carts, live djs mixing, a live video feed to join the action, we aimed to attract a diverse audience and create a memorable, high-energy atmosphere that would inspire creative experimentation and help welcome PDX Video Production and the Panther Camera Cars into the Atlanta Film Market .
Strategic Plan
The strategic plan for our Experimental Creative Experience was designed to create a dynamic and immersive event, showcasing the innovative use of our Panther Camera Cars while offering unique engagement opportunities for attendees, sponsors, and influencers. Our goal was not only to demonstrate the versatility of the Panther Camera Cars but also to create a collaborative environment where participants could meet, network, and interact with our team and cutting-edge technology. To enhance this, we developed sponsorship package opportunities, invited brands for direct involvement, created VIP influencer suites, and built a comprehensive marketing and PR plan to maximize the event’s impact in the Atlanta film market.
Through a well-coordinated strategic plan, we successfully elevated the event to be a major attraction in Atlanta’s film market. The integration of sponsors, local talent, influencers, and key media outlets created a lasting impression, while our investment in marketing and networking opportunities ensured that the event was a resounding success. The collaborative approach between sponsors, the local government, and the media established the event as a premier creative experience, with plans for future expansion.
Key Elements / Implantation of Strategic Plan
Sponsorships and Brand Partnerships
We created tailored sponsorship packages, offering partners a variety of ways to be involved in the event, from branded areas to tech demos and experiential activations. This gave sponsors the opportunity to engage directly with attendees in meaningful and interactive ways.
Brand involvement included dedicated booths, on-site activations, and exclusive access to influencers in the VIP Suite. By integrating brands into the fabric of the event, we ensured they were an active part of the immersive experience rather than just passive advertisers.
Talent Involvement (Actors, Models, and Influencers)
We strategically partnered with actors, models, and influencers to amplify the event's reach, generating excitement and content both before and during the event. The VIP Influencer Suite was a key element, designed to give influencers exclusive access to interactive demos, content creation opportunities, and direct engagement with our Panther Camera Cars.
These influencers played a critical role in pre-event promotion, helping to expand awareness through social media campaigns and drawing attention to the experiential nature of the event.
Local PR and News Coverage
To ensure the event gained maximum visibility, we reached out to media, local influencers, news leads, channels and local industry organizations to secure coverage from Atlanta-based news outlets, TV stations, and online media. These partnerships helped create a buzz around the event, positioning it as a groundbreaking experience in the Atlanta film industry.
Media coverage highlighted key features, including the Panther Camera Cars’ versatility, the presence of influencers and the mayor, and the interactive nature of the event.
Engagement with the Mayor and Local Government
Having the participation of local government officials, including the mayor, added prestige to the event and signaled the city’s support for innovation in the film and creative industries.
The mayor’s attendance, in particular, brought additional media attention and helped position the event as an important moment for Atlanta’s creative community, reinforcing the city of South Fulton and surrounding Atlanta Metro area commitment to supporting new and innovative events like ours.
Marketing Dollars & Advertising Campaign
A significant portion of the budget was allocated to a multi-channel marketing campaign. We ran targeted ads across social media and digital platforms, focusing on filmmakers, content creators, and influencers within the Southeast region.
Our ad campaigns emphasized the unique elements of the event, from the Panther Camera Cars to the VIP Suite experiences and live demonstrations. This targeted strategy helped ensure strong attendance and built excitement leading up to the event.
Event Setup and Programming
Panther Camera Cars in Action: Central to the event was the immersive demonstration of our Panther Camera Cars, which were showcased in unique ways sharing out of the box type ways to incorporate and film with live demo scene setups. These included tracking horse-drawn carriages, capturing kayaks on the water, off-roading vehicles, running with horses in the open field and executing stunning beauty shots of high-end cars. Attendees were able to see firsthand how these vehicles adapt to a variety of filming environments.
Interactive Demos and VIP Influencer Suite: We created an immersive experience for attendees, with hands-on demos and exclusive content creation opportunities for influencers. The VIP Suite offered a curated space for influencers to engage with the each other and the team with PDX Video Production & the Panther Camera Cars, interact with brands, and share their experiences throughout the day with their followers.
Networking and Experiential Activities: We ensured that networking was a key component of the event, with dedicated spaces for attendees to connect with each other, industry professionals, and sponsors. Additionally, experiential activities like helicopter rides, live DJ performances, and luxury installations (including interactive photo booths and horse-drawn carriages) created a festival-like atmosphere that fostered creativity and engagement.
Post-Event Content and Follow-Up
After the event, we distributed high-quality videos and photos capturing the most engaging moments, including influencer interactions, demos of the Panther Camera Cars, and behind-the-scenes footage. This content was shared on social media, with talent, sponsors, and with attendees, extending the event’s reach and impact.
Post-event surveys indicated that 90% of participants found the event creatively stimulating and expressed interest in attending future editions. Feedback also highlighted the VIP Suite and interactive demos as key highlights of the experience. PDX Video Production and Panther Camera Cars have firmly established themselves in the Atlanta film market, following their initial debut with a series of interactive demo and workshop experiences. Since then, they’ve continued to collaborate with local film studios, film action sequences with local law enforcement, and produce short films throughout the region, further integrating into the Atlanta filmmaking community.
Event Promotion / Marketing Outreach
To ensure the success of the immersive creative event, we implemented a comprehensive marketing and promotional campaign that utilized both digital and physical mediums. Our strategy featured a cohesive blend of targeted outreach, graphic design, and coordinated advertising efforts to attract a wide range of attendees, from filmmakers and industry professionals to local influencers and creative communities.
